5 September 2024
Recently, CEEC signed the EPC contract for Malaysia 92.4MW Gross Capacity Palm of Biomass Power Plants Project with Titan Energy of Malaysia, marking its another achievement in vigorously practicing CEEC's strategy that features “Four New Frontiers” - New Energy, Infrastructure, Industries and Materials, constantly expanding new energy businesses, and deepening its presence in Malaysia.
As agreed upon in the contract, CEEC will construct a total of 9 biomass power plants in 9 regions in Malaysia, forming a biomass power plants cluster with a gross capacity of 92.4MW.
As CEEC's first biomass power plant cluster in Malaysia, the Project will empower efficient utilization of green and renewable energy, and further advance the country's environmental protection and sustainable development by making full use of abundant local biomass waste resources. Upon completion, the Project is expected to provide Malaysia with about 710,000 MWh of clean electricity and reduce CO2 emissions by about 468,000 tons annually, effectively satisfying local power demands, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, further optimizing Malaysia’s energy mix, and facilitating the attainment of the country’s sustainable development goals.
