Swedish contractor Skanska has won a $72m contract to build an office and innovation project in Stockholm and a $58m cancer care facility in New Jersey.
In Flemingsberg, south Stockholm, Skanska will work on a two-phase project for Swedish real estate company Fabege to build a 12-storey office building (pictured) with an associated innovation centre for high-speed separators, which are used in the manufacturing sector.
Phase one of the project includes planning participation and production preparations, while the second phase involves construction of the 30,000 sq m building, restaurant, two-floor innovation centre, roof garden and parking area.
The building’s main tenant will be manufacturer Alfa Laval.
Skanska has also won a $58m from American healthcare company RWJBarnabas Health to build an ambulatory care cancer centre in Livingston, New Jersey.
The five-storey, 13,000 sq m project will be located on the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Centre campus and will include four linear accelerators and a high-dose MRI unit.
Construction on the project has already begun and is due to be completed in July 2025.
