Repair works on a hydroelectric plant in Laos
10 September 2022Nam Theun 2 Power Company-NTPC has entrusted the teams at Freyssinet (VINCI Construction) with repairing a concrete siphon at a hydroelectric plant in Laos
The siphon is on the canal downstream of the plant, beneath a river. There will be up to 160 people involved in the project during the busiest phase, and the works will start this November and last three months.
The solution that Freyssinet tendered is principally based on spraying 300 cu. metres of concrete purpose-engineered to withstand particularly acidic waters.
