Webuild Group: new orders and orders to be finalised exceed €6 bln year-to-date
1 July 2022As of the beginning of 2022 the Webuild Group has recorded more than €6 billion (consolidate value) of new orders and orders that it is in the process of finalizing. The amount related to Webuild and its subsidiaries awarded contracts or preferred bidder status rises to €19 billion when including the $16-billion (€13 billion) mega contract signed in the United States for a high-speed railway in Texas. The new orders regard 17 projects, more than 80% of which are located in low-risk countries, namely Europe, Australia and North America. They are in sectors such as roads (46%), rail (28%), building (21%) and plants (5%).
The orders pose as a big opportunity for the Webuild Group’s entire supply chain. Numbering 8,000, these companies are involved in the construction of 27 large infrastructure projects across Italy.
The Webuild Group aims to favour diversified growth of its activities benefitting the entire domestic sector while supporting the country’s recovery. It introduces technologically innovative solutions, and invests in innovation, safety, training and sustainability. Sustainability is the main focus of the Group’s commercial policy that, at December 31, 2021, had a record order book of €45.4 billion, 92% of which involved projects related to achieving sustainable development targets.
This result is targeted by the Webuild Group which aims to rely on the expertise of its integrated businesses, such as Fisia Italimpianti with its innovative solutions to increase access to water, offering drinking and quality water to areas where the natural resource is scarce or seriously polluted. There is also CSC Construction, which is based in Switzerland and offers expertise in green building and tunnelling.
