Brazil approves tender notice for USD1.43 billion airport round PPP concession

The Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) of Brazil has approved the public notice for the auction of the seventh round of airport concessions. The auction will be held on August 18, 2022 at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3).
The concession involves 15 airports divided into the following three blocks:
· General Aviation Block: Integrated by the airports of Campo de Marte (SP) and Jacarepaguá (RJ). The block has a forecast of BRL560 million (US$110 million) in investments with an initial grant of BRL138 million (US$27 million);
· North Block II: Formed by the airports of Bélem (PA) and Macapá (AP), with planned investments of around BRL875 million (US$171.9 million) and an initial grant of BRL57 million (US$11.2 million);
· Block SP/MS/PA/MG: Formed by the airports of Congonhas (SP), Campo Grande (MS), Corumbá (MS), Ponta Porã (MS), Santarém (PA), Marabá (PA), Carajás (PA) , Altamira (PA), Uberlândia (MG), Uberaba (MG) and Montes Claros (MG). The planned investment is BRL5.89 billion (US$1.15 billion) and an initial grant is BRL255 million (US$50.1 million).
A single bidder or bidding team is allowed to bid for all three blocks. The bidding team or operator must demonstrate the processing experience of one million passengers for North Block II and five million passengers for SP-MS-PA-MG blocks in the last five years.
