Brazil to auction USD1.24 billion Highway Concession

The State Government of Pará plans to hold an auction for the concession of the PA-150 highway, a 552-kilometer logistic corridor that connects the south and southeast regions of the State to the Metropolitan Region of Belém, Brazil.The project involves the development of a 70 km double-track; a 250 kilometer shoulder and a 70 kilometer third lane. The highway will pass through Marabá, Nova Ipixuna, Jacundá, Goianésia do Pará, Breu Branco, Moju, Thailand, Acará, Moju, Abaetetuba and Marituba municipalities. The project includes a BRL6 billion (US$1.24 billion) contract with a concession period of 30 years.
The auction will be held this month at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3 ) and the Port of Vila do Conde, in Barcarena.
