11 January 2022
Colombia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy is doing an internal analysis with respect to a potential new auction for renewable energy, minister Diego Mesa said in an interview with local publication Portafolio when asked whether a new renewables tender is planned.
Mesa said that there is an important pipeline of renewable energy projects and that the date of their entry into operation is key to an auction decision.
Mesa also said that offshore wind projects could take part if the commissioning date is in 2024.
