Cimic wins Indonesia energy infrastructure job

Cimic subsidiary Leighton Asia has won a contract to provide civil and mechanical works for BP’s onshore Tangguh UCC project in Papua Barat, Indonesia.
Working on behalf of engineering, procurement and construction company PT JGC Indonesia, Leighton Asia will undertake civil works for site development, including piling, drainage, roads, foundations, culverts and precast concrete elements.
The scope of tie-in mechanical works involves installation work during TAR-13 (Turn Around Maintenance-13) such as steel structure erection, piping, electrical, insulation and painting.
Juan Santamaría, Cimic’s group executive chair, said: “This project builds on our decades of experience in Indonesia.
“We’re pleased to continue our partnership with PT JGC Indonesia and support bp in helping meet growing energy demand in Indonesia and Asia. Our team is focused on delivering infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the energy sector.”
