The concession term is 24 years: four for the design, financing, and construction, and 20 for operation and maintenance.
The US$96.5 million initiative (without VAT) was declared of interest by PROINVERSIÓN and the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) at the beginning of October 2024. The prequalification requirements will be required to have experience in the construction and start-up of at least two wastewater treatment plants with secondary biological treatment, each with a minimum capacity of 300 liters per second of average daily flow. If no interested parties appear by December 30, 2024, the project will be awarded directly to the proposing company: FCC Aqualia, SA.
