PROINVERSION has invited investors to submit their expressions of interest to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Chincha, Ica, Peru.
The project involves expanding and improving the wastewater treatment service of seven districts of the Province of Chincha. It includes the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of approximately 15 km of interceptors, a pumping station, 6 km of pumping lines, and two new wastewater treatment plants with an average total capacity of 0.6 m3/s, as well as 7.7 km of lines for the final disposal of treated wastewater. The concession term is 24 years: four for the design, financing, and construction, and 20 for operation and maintenance.
The US$96.5 million initiative (without VAT) was declared of interest by PROINVERSIÓN and the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) at the beginning of October 2024. The prequalification requirements will be required to have experience in the construction and start-up of at least two wastewater treatment plants with secondary biological treatment, each with a minimum capacity of 300 liters per second of average daily flow. If no interested parties appear by December 30, 2024, the project will be awarded directly to the proposing company: FCC Aqualia, SA.
