Saudi Arabia Invites PQ for Strategic Reservoirs and Water Transmission Systems on PPP model

Water Transmission Co (WTCO), Saudi Arabiainvites experienced EPC contractors to submit their prequalification (PQ) applications in preparation for competing on major strategic opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
The prequalification invited for the Development of Water Transmission Systems and Strategic Reservoirs.
This invitation is part of the WTCO’s capital projects and aligns with its public-private partnership initiatives aimed at enhancing water sustainability across the Kingdom.
The WTCO stated that, company’s with capability to execute projects having high standards and quality and holds relevant or similar project experience, the project is a great opportunity to join a select group of contractors contributing to the development of the Kingdom’s water infrastructure.
WTCO sets the PQ submission date as 21 August 2025.
Water Transmission Co (WTCO)
The Water Transmission Company is an independent entity, wholly owned by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The establishment of the company is one of the outcomes of the privatization program to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in line with the objectives of the National Water Strategy.
The company is responsible for the development, implementation, management, operation, and maintenance of water transmission, storage, and support systems across various regions of the Kingdom. The company operates based on a business model designed to enhance asset efficiency, reduce costs, contribute to service sustainability, and meet supply needs to strengthen the Kingdom’s water security. Moreover, the company is committed to training and developing human resources to bolster the Kingdom’s leadership in desalination, water transmission, and storage industries. Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the company serves as a central hub for its operations, with its sites and services spread across the Kingdom through water transmission systems.
