Renexia and Mingyang have signed a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the 2.8 GW Med Wind floating wind farm, located 50 miles off the coast of Sicily, Italy. This marks a significant step in the project’s development, which will utilize Mingyang’s 18 MW MySE turbines.
The partnership follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Italian Ministry of Enterprises to establish a factory in Italy for turbine production, expected to create over 1,300 new jobs. The announcement was made after a meeting between Renexia, Mingyang, and Italy’s Minister of Enterprises, Adolfo Urso, to discuss project progress and collaboration.
