South Korea's Dohwa Engineering wins consultative services for metro in Ulaanbaatar

The bidding for the consultative services for the construction of a metro system in Ulaanbaatar was won by Korean companies Dohwa Engineering, Korea National Railway, Korea Railroad Corporation and Soosung Engineering.
An international bidding was announced on February 29 to select a company that will provide consultative services for the metro project in Ulaanbaatar. 20 companies from Korea, China, Israel and Mongolia applied for the first stage of bidding.
The tender was won by Dohwa Engineering. Only 4 of the 20 companies made it to the final stage of bidding: China Railway Design Corporation from China, Dohwa Engineering from South Korea, Guangzhou Metro Group from India and the Russian company NPS Engineering, Governor of the Capital City of Mongolia Nyambaatar Khishgee said.
Dohwa Engineering won in partnership with companies Korea National Railway, Korea Railroad Corporation and Soosung Engineering. Dohwa Engineering will conduct geological surveys and develop EPC tender documents before starting the construction. The company offered its services for 145.9 billion tugriks.
The construction work for the metro will begin in 2025.
Dohwa Engineering has experience in building metros in countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
