Vinci to build 1,950km of power lines in Brazil

Vinci subsidiary Cobra IS has won three contracts worth a total of €720m to build 1,948km of high-voltage transmission lines in Brazil.
Cobra has also signed two EPC contracts worth €550m with concessionaire Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista.
One of the design-and-build lots involves 1,092km of lines and three substations in the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia.
The other is a 507km-long transmission line and substation in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.
Cobra is also part of a €150m public–private partnership involving a 349km, 500kV transmission line and the extension of two substations in Minas Gerais.
In 2022, Cobra won a two transmission contracts totalling over €1bn in Brazil.
