SEPCO Signed EPC contract for the Saudi WAD Photovoltaic Project

Shandong Power Construction (SEPCO), China announced in a statement that it has signed EPC contract with France’s Total for the Saudi WAD photovoltaic project.
The WAD project is located in the central Province, approximately 600 km from Riyadh city.
The scope of work is to build a new 118.997MW photovoltaic power station, a supporting step-up station and the expansion of the SEC substation (ESF).
The construction period is 18 months. The contract It is one of the third round (REPDO3) bidding projects of Saudi Arabia’s “National Renewable Energy Program (NREP)” and an important part of the Saudi government’s “Vision 2030”.
The WAD project marks the first strategic cooperation between SEPCO and France’s Total. It is the first single photovoltaic project implemented by SEPCO and even PowerChina Group in Saudi Arabia, statement mentioned.
