ACWA Power awards $1.03bn Wind Power EPC Contracts in Uzbekistan
23 October 2022ACWA Power announced in a statement that it has awards the two EPC Contracts related to Construction of 500MW (each), Wind Power Projects in Uzbekistan.
The total value of the contracts is USD 1.03bn.
The Project was awarded to China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC).
The Bash wind project and Dzhankeldy wind project with EPC, valued at $530mn and $500mn respectively, will help meet the renewable energy goals of Uzbekistan and contribute to socioeconomic development of the country.
ACWA Power’s Vice Chairman and CEO, Paddy Padmanathan and Vice President of CEEC Intel, Xin Zongyi, in the presence of ACWA Power Chairman Mr. Mohammad Abunayyan, CEEC Chairman and other dignitaries, signed a Contract Agreement for two, 500 MW Independent Wind Power Projects in Uzbekistan, statement mentioned.
