Webuild wins $144m Paraguay water treatment project
20 October 2022Fisia Italimpianti, a subsidiary of Webuild, has landed a $144m contract to build three water treatment plants for a new pulp mill being developed close to the city of Concepción in central Paraguay, near to the Paraguay River.
Working on behalf of local pulp manufacturer Paracel, Fisia Italimpianti’s engineering, construction and procurement contract involves building plant to treat water from the river with a 7,000 cubic metres per hour capacity, an effluent treatment plant with a 6,600 cubic metre capacity and a demineralisation water plant with a 1,350 cubic metre capacity.
Work on the project is due to begin at the start of 2023.
