Vinci signs USD1.06 billion contracts for Transmission lines PPP project in Brazil

Cobra IS, a VINCI subsidiary, has signed a public-private partnership (PPP) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for high voltage transmission lines in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The BRL3.48 billion (US$674.28 million) PPP contract involves the financing, conception, construction and operation of six 500 kV transmission lines in the State of Minas Gerais. The project is to be installed on 1,020 km, four stretches of transmission lines in a distance of 63 km, one new substation and eight substation extensions. The construction works are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2027 and the operation & maintenance period will run for 30 years.
The BRL2 billion (US$388.43 million) EPC project involves the installation of 980 km of transmission lines in Minas Gerais State in the area of Espírito Santo, three new substations and five substation extensions. The construction works for the project will be completed by the end of 2027.
