New Indian expressway link being built

Construction work is starting in India for the Ganga Expressway project. The project is expected to cost US$4.85 billion.
The route will measure 600km in length and will connect Meerut with Prayagraj when complete. The expressway will feature three lanes in either direction. An unusual feature of the expressway project will be a section that will be configured for use as an emergency landing strip for aircraft in Shahjahanpur.
