Oman’s OWWSC, China’s State Grid ink supply deal on desal devices
10 December 2021
The Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company has inked an agreement with China’s State Grid International Development Company for the provision of equipment and devices for seawater desalination operations in the Al Kohl area of Oman’s Al Wusta Governorate.
The desalination plant will utilise solar energy, which is in line with the Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company’s approach to preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions.
The signing of the agreement with OWWSC is also in line with the corporate social responsibility initiatives of China’s State Grid firm, which contributes to providing potable water service to the local community in the areas surrounding the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
