Ningxia Coal Industry's POM products debut in Europe, South America
26 August 2026Ningxia Coal Industry, one of CHN Energy's subsidiaries specialized in coal producing and coal chemicals, has made its first shipment of polyoxymethylene (POM) products successfully exported to South America and Europe. This marks a further step of the company's direct overseas footprint for high value-added chemical products and a continued acceleration of its international operations.
Ningxia Coal's POM products
POM is a highly crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastic made by polymerizing formaldehyde. With properties such as high rigidity, fatigue resistance and self-lubrication, it is widely used as a key high-end raw material for mechanical components, daily-use products. Since the beginning of this year, a total of 272 metric tons of the product have been exported to countries and regions including Algeria, Vietnam, India and Kazakhstan, showing solid progress in the company's high-end chemical products presence in overseas markets.
The coal-to-liquid chemical sales branch of Ningxia Coal Industry has seized market opportunities and actively promoting both domestic and international economic circulation. It has made every effort to expand overseas chemical markets, achieving rapid growth in foreign trade. As of August this year, the company had exported a cumulative 79,000 metric tons of chemical products, up by 83% year on year, with an increase of 35,900 metric tons in sales volume, reaching 88% of its annual sales target.
To enter markets in Europe and the Americas, the sales branch has proactively aligned its products with international standards and obtained a number of internationally recognized certifications, including RoHS, FDA and SVHC. The breakthrough into new regional markets not only represents an extension of the company's overseas marketing footprint, but also marks an upgrade in its export portfolio from bulk commodity chemicals to high-end specialty materials. It further enriches the export portfolio of high-end products, helps cultivate new growth drivers in foreign trade.
