India’s ACME Solar signs 300 MW/1,200 MWh PPA at $0.063/kWh
20 October 2026
Indian renewable energy independent power producer ACME Solar, through its subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd, has signed a power procurement agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 300 MW/1,200 MWh of assured peak power supply from interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects.
The developer secured the capacity under SECI’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) IX tranche, a tender that launched in June this year, at a tariff of INR 6 ($0.063)/kWh.
The FDRE project will see ACME Solar supply 4 MWh/MW of contracted capacity for any four hours daily during non-solar hours while maintaining a minimum availability of 90% on a monthly basis.
The project is set to integrate a combination of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) technologies in order to meet the contracted obligations. It will also utilise the night-time connectivity already available within the company.
Following the PPA signing, ACME Solar’s under-construction portfolio with signed PPAs now stands at 4,310 MW, compared to a total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
The company’s diversified contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW spans solar, BESS, FDRE, hybrid and wind solutions. Its operational capacity reaches 3,123 MW, alongside 4.96 GWh of BESS capacity.
