Al Sharhan Energy and Seiyuan signs agreement to build GIS factory in Saudi Arabia

Al Sharhan Energy Company has announced a landmark Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with China-based Sieyuan Electric, marking a historic milestone in the company’s growth and a major step forward for localized manufacturing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement paves the way for establishing a state-of-the-art factory in the Kingdom dedicated to the manufacturing of high-voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
This strategic partnership reflects a strong commitment to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by localizing advanced energy technologies and significantly enhancing local content. By combining Al Sharhan Energy’s established leadership and deep market knowledge in Saudi Arabia with Sieyuan Electric’s global technical expertise and proven manufacturing capabilities, the Joint Venture aims to elevate the Kingdom’s position in high-end electrical infrastructure manufacturing.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Tawfiq Al Sharhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Sharhan Group, and Mr. Dong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sieyuan Electric.
The initiative is expected to drive technology transfer, foster innovation, create specialized job opportunities, and develop national talent within the power sector. Strategically, it will also position Saudi Arabia as a regional hub and exporter of advanced energy solutions, contributing to a sustainable and self-reliant energy future for the Kingdom.
