During the summer peak season, CHN Energy maintained monthly coal production of 50 million tons for 48 consecutive months. Commercial coal sales rose by 12.4% year on year, and total power generation reached 457.5 billion kWh, up 2.2% year on year. The Group recorded 36 days with daily generation exceeding 4 billion kWh, 20 more than in the same period last year. Non-coal transportation averaged 2.53 million tons per month, an increase of 8.7%. In the chemical sector, polyolefins accounted for 48.3% of total sales, with exports surging 97% year on year.

In the hydrogen energy sector, CHN Energy recently issued guidelines to accelerate high-quality hydrogen industry development, outlining strategic directions and 14 specific measures to promote the integrated growth of hydrogen with the coal, power and chemical industries.

In technological innovation, the Group’s Anhui branch completed the nation’s largest coal power + molten salt energy storage project, while its New Energy Technology Research Institute was approved as a national carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) standards verification site. The Group is also advancing the Smart CHN Energy initiative and will soon launch its AI+ action plan to expand applications of the Qingyuan large model.

In the fourth quarter, CHN Energy will make every effort to ensure stable energy supply for winter, tap potential for higher efficiency and revenue, accelerate innovation through major national science and technology projects, optimize its investment structure by advancing large-scale renewable energy bases in desert areas, the Gobi, and other arid areas, and enhance management efficiency.

Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the Group will focus on high-quality planning and deepen its strategic presence in emerging fields such as hydrogen-based industries, new energy storage and integrated energy-computing systems to drive sustainable, high-quality development.
