28 May 2025
On May 28th, Sergio Fortea Espert, head of the energy department of Maersk Group, and his delegation visited CEECATL. Mr. Fred Huang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CEECATL, warmly received and presided over the talks. The two sides conducted comprehensive discussions and in-depth exchanges on business cooperation in new energy fields such as zero-carbon green ports, zero-carbon industrial and commercial parks, and green fuel, and reached many consensuses.
Mr. Fred Huang extended a warm welcome to Sergio Fortea Espert and his delegation, and briefly introduced the company's background and core advantages of CEECATL. Relying on the integration of investment, construction and operation of integrated smart energy and the service concept of customer first, CEECATL has applied the company's characteristic multi-energy complementary green and zero-carbon solutions to multiple scenarios such as ports, airports, and parks, and has been recognized and supported by various domestic and foreign partners and governments. He said that in the future, he will be able to coordinate and integrate multiple resources to provide Maersk Group with a variety of green power solutions that can be selected according to local conditions, so as to achieve the goal of win-win cooperation between the two parties.
Sergio Fortea Espert expressed his gratitude to CEECATL for its warm reception. He introduced that at present, the main business of Maersk Group is divided into three major sections, namely shipping, port operation, warehousing and inland logistics services. At present, Maersk Group is planning to add green power generation and energy storage systems to two overseas terminals and supporting facilities, and he said that he hopes to build CEECATL to provide Maersk with replicable full-scene green energy solutions.
