France’s Egis opens office in the Philippines
28 March 2025
French infrastructure group Egis has opened an office in the Philippines, where it says it will target public-private partnerships, operations and maintenance, and projects in rail, airport, roads, energy and water.
Located in the Ortigas Center in the City of Pasig, east of Manila in the National Capital Region, the new office will be headquarters to around 200 staff.
The 21 March inauguration was attended by France’s ambassador to the Philippines, Marie Fontanel, and Egis chief executive Laurent Germain.
The company has also created an “Egis Production Center” in the Philippines to deliver water-related projects.
Egis has been active in the country since the 1960s, and is currently working on Manila’s first underground metro line, the IPIF Flood Risk Management Project, the Clark International Airport Expansion, and a road improvement programme.
Chief executive Laurent Germain said the new office “marks a significant milestone for Egis in the region”.
“We are committed to leveraging our global expertise to support the Philippines in its journey toward sustainable development,” he added.
