Skanska upgrades railway stations in Chrastava and Hrádek, Czech Republic, for CZK 1.2 billion, about SEK 560M
30 July 2024Skanska has signed a contract with The Railway Administration of the Czech Republic for the modernization of Chrastava and Hrádek nad Nisou railway stations in northern Bohemia, Czech Republic. The contract is worth CZK 1.2 billion, about SEK 560M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the third quarter 2024.

The contract is worth CZK 1.2 billion, about SEK 560M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the third quarter 2024.
The project includes the modernization of two railway stations with a total 4 kilometers of new tracks, the installing of 14 new switches and new station security systems. Skanska will also build four barrier-free platforms, several new bridges and crossroads and new station buildings including a small bus terminal in Hrádek. Once completed, the modernization will bring train speed increase.
Construction will start in September 2024 with expected completion in December 2025.
