Critical Milestones for the Substation and the PV Plant of 20MW Gifu Solar Power Plant Project Completed
5 June 2024Recently, the 20MW Gifu Solar Power Plant Project in Japan, EPC contracted by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (SEPEC), has successfully completed two important milestones: the overall withstand voltage test of the substation and the installation of all PV Modules. The project is now in a new phase of construction.
On May 10, the overall withstand voltage test of the substation passed at once. This success marks the basic completion of the electrical debugging of the substation, laying a solid foundation for achieving the project's grid connection goals.
On May 25, all PV Modules were installed despite various difficulties such as complex site conditions, extensive construction scope, frequent earthquakes, and winter conditions.
The 20MW Gifu Solar Power Plant Project is the first new energy project EPC constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (SEPEC) in Japan. The project is located in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, central Japan. The project covers a total area of 117 hectares, divided into 16 plots for construction, and is accompanied by the construction of a 154kV substation.
Next, the PV plant of the project will enter a critical phase involving cable laying, wiring, and equipment debugging. The entire project team will continue to exert their efforts, striving with full force towards achieving the goal of full-capacity grid connection and operation.
