19 April 2024
Dubai-based real estate developer Damac Properties has appointed Beijing-headquartered China State Construction Engineering Corporation as the main contractor for its Safa Two de Grisogono tower in Business Bay, Dubai.
The contract covers the construction of an 86-storey, high-rise residential building offering 1,284 residential units. The project is estimated to have a height of over 336 metres.
In October 2022, Damac awarded the project's shoring and excavation works to the local National Piling. The enabling works are ongoing at the project site.
Lebanese engineering firm Dar is the project consultant.
Further projects
Damac and China State Construction Engineering Corporation are making progress with construction work on the AED2bn ($545m) luxury residential project Cavalli Casa Tower in Dubai Marina.
In March, the developer said that the construction works are 28% complete and that the work on external and internal finishings will commence in June. It added that the project is on track for completion by 2025.
In October last year, Damac selected the local contractor United Engineering Construction Company (Unec) to deliver its Safa One de Grisogono project, located close to the Safa Two project.
Damac awarded a contract worth about AED500m ($136m) to Unec for the main works package, which includes the construction of two towers.
The two towers, which are 57 floors and 40 floors high, offer 491 one- to five-bedroom apartments.
