Romania: CCE received permits for four solar projects

CCE Development Romania, a subsidiary of Austrian renewables developer CCE, has obtained building permits and network connections for four new solar projects.

In 2024, CCE plans to build projects with a total capacity of over 400 MW in its core countries.

Romania offers excellent conditions to make the energy transition visible quickly and efficiently and to implement projects that are ready for construction, according to CCE Romania Managing Director Johannes Srajer.

CCE is planning to start the construction of large-scale ground-mounted solar power plants with a total installed capacity of over 200 MW in 2024.

CCE has also received network connections for the Izvoarele (62 MW), Peris 1 (61 MW), Peris 2 (57 MW) and Crevedia (54 MW) solar projects. As a result, these power plants will also achieveready-to-build status, which will enable CCE to start construction before the end of this year.

Together with the Horia 1 project, which is already under construction, CCE’s solar power plants in Romania will produce almost 500 GWh of green electricity shortly.
