Romania: Rezolv Energy secures grid connection for 600 MW wind parks
27 January 2024
Rezolv Energy has signed a grid connection agreement for the Dunarea East & West wind parks, a 600 MW project in Constanța county. The project is being developed by Rezolv in partnership with Low Carbon.
Dunarea East&West will share the same grid connection point, which will require the construction of a new 400kV interconnection substation to feed the power produced into the transmission network.
Work will commence in line with the Dunarea project timeline, with a view to the power coming onstream from 2026.
Dunarea East&West will be designed, constructed and operated to the highest environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
The clean power produced will be sold to commercial and industrial users through long-term power purchase agreements.
Rezolv, which launched 18 months ago, already has over 2GW of clean energy projects being prepared for construction in South Eastern Europe.
