Nesma awarded $80 million Substation Project

Nesma Infrastructure & Technology (NIT) signed a significant contract with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
The Project is related to construction of the Farasan Island 132/33/13.8KV Substation in the Jizan region, to enhance the area’s electrical transmission and distribution network.
The value of the contract is SAR 300 million.
The scope of work of this contract includes the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing and commissioning, and Energization of the transmission substation along with the static synchronous compensator and the connection to the Saudi Arabian National Grid on a lump sum turnkey basis.
The duration of the Project is approximately 20 months.
Earlier, NESMA awarded $347 million Substation Contracts by SEC.
