Winning bidder announced for 200 MW wind farm and 100 MW battery storage in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Energy has announced the winning bidder for the 200 MW wind farm and 100 MW battery storage in the Karaozak and Beruniy districts, Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan.
This project is being executed with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development through the "Program for the Development and Provision of Advisory Services." The outcomes of the financial proposals' assessment are as follows:
ACWA POWER suggests a rate of 4.09 US cents/kWh of electricity generated at the wind farm, inclusive of the battery storage system.
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC-Masdar has proposed 4.99 US cents/kWh of electricity generated at the wind farm, including the battery storage system.
ACWA POWER has been declared the winning bidder for the tender and will be responsible for designing, building, financing, and operating both the wind farm and the battery storage system, while Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar has been named the reserved bidder.
The official approval of the winning bidder for the project will follow the evaluation of the financial proposals based on the required criteria.
