EOI issued for multimillion Bus Rapid Transit PPP Project in Senegal
26 November 2023Senegal Roads Works and Management Agency (AGEROUTE) has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) to carry out the supervision of infrastructure development works related to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) pilot project in Dakar, Senegal.
The consulting services encompass the supervision and monitoring of urban road development spanning approximately 15 km, vital for the effective operation BRT project. This oversight is conducted in two lots within the zone of influence of the BRT project, covering the stretch between the Gadaye bus depot in Guédiawaye and the Petersen urban station. The tasks involve the installation of Tricolor Light Signals (SLT), the implementation of modern public lighting, and landscaping initiatives. Additionally, the services extend to overseeing and supervising the execution of measures outlined in the Environmental and Social Management Plan.
The Senegal Government has secured funding from the World Bank (IDA) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the implementation of the BRT pilot project within Dakar. It aims to allocate a portion of these funds to finance the contract associated with overseeing the infrastructure development works connected to the BRT pilot project.
EOI, in French, must be physically delivered by December 5, 2023.
