Al-Jomiah, EDF, Buhur Consortium Signs $3.9 billion CCGT IPP Projects

Al-Jomiah Energy and Water, EDF, Buhur for investment Consortium signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s) for Taiba-2 and Qassim-2 Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGT) power plants.
The projects have an estimated total value of SAR 14.6 billion.
The Projects will be the first of their kind decarbonized CCGT power plants, aligned with the Saudi Green Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.
Project Scope includes Development, financing, construction, ownership and operation of 2 CCGT power plants.
The duration of each agreement is 25 years.
The Projects will contribute to supplying power to around 1.5 million residential units annually.
