Bureau Veritas awarded Engineering Services Contract for 1425MW Al Kahfah Solar PV Power Plant
10 October 2023Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, has been awarded by Ishaa Energy Renewable Company, a company owned by ACWA Power and Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund (PIF), subsidiary water and electricity holding company (Badeel) to provide owner’s engineering services for 1425 MWac Al Kahfah Solar PV Power Plant.
The agreement between Ishaa Energy Renewable Company and Bureau Veritas covers design review, project management, off-site quality control and assurance, module testing, liaison engineering, construction QA/QC, construction management and commissioning management services.
ACWA Power is a developer, investor, co-owner and operator of a portfolio of power generation, renewable energy and desalinated water production plants with 75 assets in operation, construction or advanced development across 12 countries. Al Kahfah solar power plant project is part of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) which is led by the Ministry of Energy, with PIF mandated to develop 70% of NREP’s target capacity. PIF, through Water and Electricity Holding Company (Badeel), in partnership with ACWA Power as a lead developer will execute Al Kahfah Solar plant.
