Siemens submits lowest bid for 400kV Jasra Grid Substation in Bahrain
26 September 2023Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Bahrain received bidders Proposal for the Substation Switchgear, Systems & Civil Works for new 400kV Jasra Grid Substation.
The following three bidders submitted the proposals.
- Siemens – BHD 45,292,667.182 (option 1) and BHD 45,825,402.186 (option 2)
- Grid Solutions – BHD 46,825,593.247
- Linxon – BHD 65,992,775.059
As per the tender notification, EWA proposes to launch a project for the establishment of a new 400kV Jasra Grid Substation. The Substation Switchgear & Civil Works is one of the Project work packages intended to be executed through international limited tender.
The scope of this tender includes the Design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of 400kV Grid substation at Jasra includes 400kV GIS, 220kV GIS, 21kV switchgear, Control, Protection and ICS, Telecom systems and associated substation cabling etc. also includes Civil works of the substation and associated building services including CCTV and Electronic Access Control systems.
The tender excludes the 400kV Power Transformer and Reactor Works as well as 400kV and 220kV feeder Cable works, which are under other work packages.
