NWC completes 34km main water pipeline project in Riyadh
10 September 2023The National Water Company (NWC) announced the recent completion of the construction of main water pipelines with various diameters and a length of more than 34 kilometers.
The total cost was more than 84 million Saudi Riyals to support the daily distribution system in the north of Riyadh.
The company pointed out that this project aims to improve the efficiency of the daily distribution system for a number of districts north of Riyadh city, including Al-Kairouan, Al-Ared, Al-Yasmine, Al-Narjes and Al-Ghadeer, Al-Muhammadiyah, Al-Nozha, Al-Taawun, Al-Maseif, Al-Murooj, King Fahd and Al-Nakheel districts. NWC pointed out that the project falls within the first phase of the strategic plan for water supply in the city of Riyadh.
The company added that it is continuing its efforts at an accelerated pace to implement many of its initiatives related to infrastructure support and operational efficiency projects to improve the quality of services provided and keep pace with the increasing demand for water in line with the comprehensive urban renaissance of the capital city. This project is completed in realization of NWC’s strategic goals of providing sustainable water services in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
