CIMIC’S Leighton Asia wins five M&E Projects For The Hong Kong Housing Authority in 18 months

CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has been awarded five electrical works projects for the Hong Kong Housing Authority in the past 18 months.
Awarded to Leighton Asia’s mechanical and electrical engineering arm, Pekko Engineers, the five projects will generate revenue of A$116 million.
The contracts comprise mechanical and electrical works for more than 9,700 residential flats.
CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “Pekko has a strong track record of delivering best-in-class engineering services in Hong Kong, meeting safety, quality and sustainability requirements. We are pleased to continue working with the Housing Authority to support the Government’s policy of easing the city’s need for housing.”
Leighton Asia Managing Director Brad Davey said: "Winning five projects within 18 months from the same client is a great achievement. It reflects our ability to retain clients with our operational excellence, and safe and successful delivery.”
The most recent project awarded to Pekko is a Public Housing Development project at Tung Chung Area 103. Other awarded projects include Public Housing Development projects at Hiu Ming Street, Kai Tak Sites 2B5 and 2B6, Anderson Road Quarry Site R2-8 and Wang Chiu Road Phase 2.
