CTG Brasil, received the AAA., the highest grade issued by Moody's Local Brazil
12 August 2023
During July, our company, CTG Brasil, received the AAA.br issuer rating (assessment issued by rating agencies on the quality of credits), the highest grade issued by Moody's Local Brazil. The 'triple A' rating indicates the company's solidity and the low degree of risks for investments.
The highest level on Moody's ratings scale places CTG Brasil among the most reputable companies, reflecting the group's position in the Brazilian energy market as one of the largest generators in the country, concentrating long remaining terms of its concessions, good cash flow predictability given the exposure to energy contracting in the Regulated Contracting Environment and good geographical diversification of its assets. Moody's ratings are constantly monitored and reviewed at least once every 12 months.
To base the report, we analyzed all the assets of our Company, which has a total operational installed capacity of about 8.3 GW. It is worth noting that we are also expanding our renewable energy portfolio, through the Arinos solar park in Minas Gerais and the Serra da Palmeira wind project in Paraíba.
"The rating awarded by Moody's reflects, in addition to our solidity, our commitments to the country's development. Currently, we generate clean energy to supply thousands of Brazilian homes, and we have invested in the modernization and diversification of our asset portfolio to further expand our efficiency and production capacity", comments Aline Moreira, from the Investor Relations area.
For Moody's, the company's operating margins have been in line with the industry average, while net margins benefit from its low leverage.
