Balfour Beatty wins $320m prison contract in Georgia, US

Balfour Beatty’s US arm has won a $320m deal to deliver a 3,000-person prison in the US state of Georgia.
The prison will contain housing, administration, general and vocational education space and medical services.
Balfour Beatty will construction manage the project on behalf of the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission, in association with Georgia Building Authority and the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Work is due to begin in the last quarter of the year.
