Vinci JV wins major Slovakian road job

A joint venture led by Vinci Construction has won a €330m contract to build the second lot of the northern highway bypass of Prešov, Slovakia’s third-largest city.
Over four years, the joint venture will build 12 bridges, a 2km tunnel, and 10.2km of highway. Work starts in September.
Vinci has a 34% stake in the project through its local subsidiaries Eurovia SK, Eurovia CS and SMS.
Slovakian construction firms Váhostav-SK and TuCon are also participating.
This new section will finish the northern part of the city bypass, reducing traffic congestion and journey times.
