Bahrain received Bids for 220kV Cable Works of new 400kV Jasra Substation

Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Bahrain received the Bidders proposals for the 220kV Feeder Cable Works of new 400kV Jasra Grid Substation.
Following sixBidders has submitted the proposals:

- Mohammad Al Ojaimi – BHD 33,124,594.209
- Taihan Electric – BHD 38,758,617.170
- Iljin Electric – BHD 76,830,772.739
As per the tender notification, EWA proposes to launch a project for establishment of a new 400kV Jasra Grid Substation and its 220kV Subsystem.
The 220kV Feeder Cable Works is one of the Project work packages intended to be executed through international limited tender.
The scope of this tender is for EPC and includes the – Design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, civil works, installation, jointing and testing of 220kV Cable circuits having estimated circuit length of 33.5 km (new circuits & diversion) with minimum design rating of 300 MVA each and cable size of 800 mm2 Cu. XLPE per phase. – Design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, civil works, installation, jointing and testing of 66kV Cable circuits having estimated circuit length of 7.1 km with minimum design rating of 60 MVA each and cable size of 800 mm2 Al. XLPE per phase. – Design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, civil works, installation, jointing and testing of Fibre Optic Cable, and DTS system.
