Tender issued for Hospital Site Redevelopment PPP Project in Canada
4 May 2023
Infrastructure Ontario and Quinte Health Care have issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to deliver the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Site Redevelopment Project in Canada.
The project includes the construction of a new hospital with improved equipment and facilities including a 24-hour emergency department, helipad, surgical suite, dialysis unit and other specializations. It is being delivered using a Design-Bid-Build model. Applications will be considered to select participants with the necessary construction experience applicable to the project and the financial capacity to implement it. Once shortlisted, teams will be asked to respond to a request for proposals to be published in the fall of 2023.
The Sponsors are responsible for the design of the Project; the Successful Proponent will construct the hospital in phases. The new hospital building will be required to be constructed while the existing hospital remains in operation. Once the new hospital is completed and services are transitioned from the existing hospital to the new hospital, the existing hospital will be required to be demolished and the area reconfigured by the construction of a new parking lot, helipad and landscaping.
The last day to submit the response is May 24, 2023.
