Spanish contractor Ferrovial has won a €100m turnkey contract to build a solar farm with a 200MW capacity in Spain’s southwestern Badajoz region.

The project will contain 350,000 bifacial photovoltaic modules capable of producing 400GWh a year, enough to supply energy to 118,100 homes.
Work is due to take 14 months and will create an estimated 500 direct and indirect jobs.
