Saudi’s Rabigh 300 MW Solar PV Project Connected to Grid

China Energy Construction Guangdong Thermal Power General Contracting Co., Ltd. announced in a statement that the 300 MW photovoltaic power station project in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia was successfully connected to the grid and officially entered the operation stage.
This project is one of the important projects of the “Vision 2030” formulated by the Saudi government, which includes vigorously developing new energy sources and promoting energy strategic transformation.
After the project is connected to the grid for power generation, it will provide 45,300 households with green and clean power supply.
The average annual power generation is 2240 kWh. The total power generation of the project in the first year is 894 million kWh, and the converted carbon dioxide emission reduction is about 779,900 tons; the total power generation is expected to be about 21.4 billion kWh in 25 years, and the converted carbon dioxide emission reduction is nearly 18.62 million tons.
