Alfanar awarded SAR 1.2bn 110MW Solar PV Project

Alfanar Construction Company, Saudi Arabia announced in a statement that it has awarded a Solar Energy Project by Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Saudi Arabia. The Project location is in Jubail Desalination Plant (Phase II), Jubail, eastern region of Saudi Arabia.
The Contract value is SAR 1.2 billion.
Project Scope of Works includes 110MW Solar PV Plant, 380kV Substation and 173km of Overhead Transmission line (OHTL).
This project will contribute to the use of renewable energy in the desalination industry and reduces the use of crude oil by 500,000 barrels per year.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and Chairman of the Board at SWCC, H.E. Eng. Abdul Rahman AlFadhli, along with SWCC’s Governor H.E. Eng. Abdullah AlAbdulkarim, and Alfanar’s Managing Director, Eng. Sabah Almutlaq, and Executive Vice President, Eng. Amer Al Ajmi, statement mentioned.
