Tender issued for USD164.5 million Transmission Projects in Peru

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has issued a tender for the concession of five (5) electricity transmission projects located in the regions of San Martín, Arequipa, Lambayeque and Piura, Peru.
The US$164.5 million transmission project is grouped into two (2) groups, these are as follows:
Group I
- Link 500 kV San José – Yarabamba (Arequipa) with an investment of US$27 million;
- ITC Link 220 kV Piura Nueva – Colán (Piura), for US$48.8 million;
- ITC Link 220 kV Belaunde Terry – North Tarapoto, (San Martín), for US$50 million.
Group II
- ITC SE Lambayeque Norte 220 kV with sectioning of the TL 220 kV Chiclayo Oeste – La Niña/Felam (Lambayeque), for US$ 26 million;
- 220/60/22.9 kV Piura Este substation (Piura), for US$11.7 million.
The project will benefit more than 3 million people by providing greater electrical energy transfer capacity that will boost industrial, commercial and service activities.
