CEPCO awarded Construction of two 110/13.8kV Substations
12 September 2022Civil & Electrical Projects Contracting Company (CEPCO), Saudi Arabia announced in a statement that it has signed a contract agreement with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and mentioned that its their first strategic business in terms of complete Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of substation contract.
The contract is to build two (2) 110/13.8kV Substation each at Rabigh and Umluj in the western region of Saudi Arabia.
The Major equipment/ material of the project includes 145kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 50/67MVA Power transformer, MV Switchgear, Solid Insulated Bus duct (SIS), 7MVAR Capacitor Bank, NGR, SAS, Protection, AMI & Telecommunication, Civil/ steel Structural works, Cyber Security, HVAC System, Fire Fighting & Fire Protection, HCIS -CCTV system and associated Remote end extension & modification works.

The new substations are reportedly on a fast-track construction schedule and the project is financed by the Ministry of Housing and supervised by SEC.
We are fully confident that signing the EPC agreement with Saudi Electricity Company will secure the delivery of the required works efficiently and with high quality results.
