Bahrain received AlDur Phase 3 IWPP Consultancy services bids
7 September 2022The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Bahrain received the technical bids for the consultancy services of AlDur Phase 3 power and water plant.
Following firms has submitted the proposals:
- Deloitte & Touche
- KPMG Fakhro
- Ernst & Young Middle East
As per the tender notification, Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) is desirous to engage the services of consult firm for the development of construction of AlDur Phase 3 power and water plant which consist of combined cycle power plant of (1500-1800) MW and seawater desalination plant about (50) MIGD.
The Power & Water Purchasing Agreement (PWPA) shall envisage an implementation Programme that leads into an early commercial operation of the power plant in Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) and early commercial operation of half capacity of the water plant in summer 2027.
The remaining power capacity is to be made fully operational prior to summer 2028. The water capacity is to be made fully operational in 2028.
