Maglev cultural tourism express developed by CRRC
13 August 2022Recently, the maglev cultural tourism express train developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. was put into operation in Fenghuang Ancient Town. Tourists from around China can change to the maglev sight-seeing express upon arrival at the high-speed railway station of Fenghuang Ancient Town to directly reach the scenic area of Fenghuang Ancient Town, appreciating the Western Hunan culture and the combination of technology and beautiful scenes while going through the thousand-year old town.
Fenghuang Maglev Express comprises 3 carriages with a designed speed of 100km/h. The train is equipped with the DY-1 hydraulic brake system independently developed by CRRC Brake Technology Co., Ltd., meeting the needs of fast start and stop as well as the operation on long, steep ramps. The train has a champagne gold color, and the carriages feature the integration of a sense of technology and the elements of folk culture. The super large sight-seeing glass windows fill the train with light. In addition, the train has the advantages such as green, safety, no friction and low noise.
Fenghuang Maglev Express connects seamlessly with Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua High-speed Railway, and Phase I covers a length of 9.121km. The official operation of the train not only meets the transportation need between Fenghuang High-speed Railway Station and Fenghuang Ancient Town, but also further improves Fenghuang’s landscape axis, ecological corridor and cultural corridor.
